Bio:
Henry Dunphy is a seasoned American entrepreneur and financial strategist whose career spans investment management, credit recovery, and business acquisitions across Brazil and the United States. Since settling in São Paulo in the early 2000s, Henry has built, managed, and advised over a dozen ventures — connecting global capital to local opportunity through finance, data, and technology.
A founding partner of Financial Management Control Brasil, Palisades XII do Brasil, and MITRA – Acesso em Rede e Tecnologia da Informação Municipal, Henry has long operated at the intersection of debt markets, portfolio recovery, and fintech innovation. MITRA, one of his early ventures, evolved into a major municipal IT platform before being acquired by Valid Soluções S.A., a publicly traded digital identity company.
Today, Henry works closely with CatalystWin as an investment advisor and consultant, specializing in deal sourcing, company valuation, and acquisition strategy. His expertise lies in identifying underpriced or underperforming businesses — from startups to mature operations — and structuring tailored buyout offers for private equity funds and investor groups. His network extends across finance, real estate, and security technology, positioning him as one of the sharpest “finders” in the market for strategic acquisitions.
While his financial instincts are laser-sharp, Henry’s lifestyle remains disarmingly human. You’re just as likely to find him reading the culture section of a newspaper in one of São Paulo’s classic bakeries — dressed like a Banana Republic model and reminding everyone that sophistication never goes out of style.

“Henry is where global finance meets local flavor — he sees the numbers, but he also feels the story behind the deal.”
Henry will be featured in the upcoming bilingual production CEO’s Grind – Hidden Gems in Brazil, a show highlighting foreign and local investors unlocking the country’s untapped potential.
