Forgot to Sign Out of Netflix or Another Streaming Account?
t happens. You check out, get on the road, and suddenly realize your Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, or another personal streaming account is still signed in on the TV.
Here’s how Stay With Jay handles these requests.
Streaming Account Sign-Out Policy
Guests are responsible for signing out of their personal streaming accounts before checkout.
Stay With Jay does not access or manage guest usernames, passwords, payment information, or other account credentials. However, if you realize after checkout that you left an account signed in, you have two options.
Option 1: Sign Out Remotely — FREE
In most cases, you do not need to return to the property or have someone access the television.
Most major streaming providers allow you to manage devices or sign out remotely through your account.
This is the fastest option and does not require assistance from the Stay With Jay team.
Option 2: Request On-Site Assistance
If you would prefer that someone physically access the property and sign your account out directly from the television, you may request an on-site service visit.
If a team member must be dispatched specifically for your request, a $30 service fee applies.
If a Stay With Jay team member is already scheduled to be at the property and can reasonably complete the request during that visit, a reduced $15 service fee may apply.
On-site assistance is subject to team availability and cannot be guaranteed immediately.
Protecting Your Privacy
Our team will only perform the specific action requested: signing the account out of the television.
Team members are not authorized to browse your profile, viewing history, account settings, payment information, or other personal information.
We also will never ask you to send us your streaming-service password.
Before You Check Out
Before leaving your room or suite, take a moment to check any television or streaming device you used during your stay and sign out of your personal accounts.
That quick check helps keep your accounts secure and avoids the need for a post-checkout service request.
Stay With Jay — Affordable Boutique Stays
Guests are responsible for signing out of personal streaming accounts—including Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and similar services—before checkout.
After checkout, Stay With Jay does not remotely access, manage, or modify a guest’s personal account credentials.
If a guest forgets to sign out:
- First option — Guest handles it remotely. We provide instructions for remotely signing out through the streaming provider. This is free and should be the default response.
- Second option — On-site assistance. If the guest specifically requests that someone physically access the room/TV and sign the account out, SWJ may dispatch an available team member. That is a post-checkout service request and should carry a fee because somebody has to travel/access the property, identify the correct TV/profile, perform the task, and document completion.
- Privacy protection. Team members should only perform the requested sign-out. They should not browse profiles, viewing history, account settings, payment information, or other personal information.
