StayWithJay Operations Update — Reservation Barrier Taxonomy and Status Flow Improvements
Today we improved the way operational barriers are categorized and tracked inside the StayWithJay status flow system.
The barrier taxonomy was reorganized in ACF so barriers can be assigned more cleanly to reservations. This allows guest-related, room-related, access-related, bathroom-related, bedroom-related, direct booking, door lock, towel/missing item, extra guest, and transportation issues to be tracked in a more structured way.
The main operational improvement is that a barrier can now be attached directly to a reservation. Even when the issue is guest-related, tying the barrier to the reservation makes it traceable through the reservation code and keeps the incident connected to the actual stay.
This improves accountability because the team can status the issue without needing to solve it immediately. The first step is now simply logging the barrier correctly. From there, the team can review, escalate, resolve, or use the information later for operational reporting.
This update supports cleaner internal workflows, better guest issue tracking, better co-host accountability, and stronger reporting inside StayWithJay’s reservation operations system.
