What Kind of Clothes should I pack?

What to Pack for Brazil in Late October (2025)

October in Brazil marks the start of spring going into summer — especially in São Paulo and the southeast, where most of your trip will likely take place. Expect warm to hot days (24–32 °C / 75–90 °F) and occasional rain, particularly in the afternoons.

Essentials:

  • Lightweight shirts and T-shirts (breathable fabrics)
  • Shorts and casual pants
  • A couple of nicer outfits for dinners or meetings
  • Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers ( If you want an experience, I would recommend buying one pair of dress shoes in Brazil. The quality is tremendous, and the price very convenient)
  • Sandal ( plan on buying a pair of Havayanas sandals here)
  • Light jacket or hoodie (for cooler evenings or indoor A/C) a must
  •  light rain jacket (umbrella buy it here)

🕶 Optional but smart:

  • Sunscreen and sunglasses — the UV index can be strong
  • Hat or cap
  • Swimwear — you’ll probably end up near a beach, pool, or waterfall

In short: think warm-weather comfort with one layer for rain or chill.
