That said, I don’t believe the fact that I didn’t contact you upon arrival justifies your refusal to offer a refund.
Expecting me — an exhausted traveler who paid for your accommodation service and arrived expecting a competent and habitable room — to reach out after midnight (clearly outside of any reasonable service hours), and to risk the uncertainty of receiving no response in order to coordinate a potential room change, is neither practical nor fair.
Therefore, I maintain that my decision to sleep in the car — made under the specific circumstances and as my only viable option — does not absolve your responsibility for having failed to provide accommodation that meets the basic standard implied by our transaction.
I would appreciate it if you could reconsider offering a full or partial refund as a remedy for this situation.
If you believe a disagreement still exists regarding the allocation of responsibility, I would be glad to let the platform step in and assess the matter through a formal report.
