🛎️ Policy Update: Extension Requests Will Default to Standard Rate
At StayWithJay, our goal is to provide clean, comfortable, and well-managed stays for working professionals, commuters, and travelers. To continue offering this level of service, we’re updating how extension requests are handled—especially for bookings made through Airbnb with last-minute discounts.
🧾 Here’s What’s Changing:
If you originally booked your stay at a last-minute discounted rate, any alteration or extension request submitted within 14 days of checkout will no longer carry over the same discounted rate.
Instead, we will:
- Decline any alteration requests that reflect the last-minute discount.
- Send back an updated offer at our minimum standard rate of $45/night.
This policy applies to all listings and will remain in place until the underlying issue is resolved.
🔧 Why the Change?
Airbnb’s system currently applies last-minute discounts even when guests try to extend an existing reservation. Unfortunately, this is a system bug. The discount is intended for new bookings only, not for extensions of existing reservations.
Until Airbnb addresses this, we’re applying a consistent policy across all requests to ensure fair pricing for all guests.
