We want to thank everyone who showed up, shared food, conversation, and good energy. Special shout-outs to the Madison Community Garden friends: Lorraine, Jennifer, and Diab, and our dear friends and neighbors  Shymeika, Margaret, & Josiah, and to all the neighbors and families who made the evening fun and welcoming (even if I failed to commit every name to memory — you were felt and appreciated!).

We also thank Nikki Hudson (Ward 11 candidate) and Tanmay Shah (Ward 12 candidate) for joining in the civic spirit and sharing their perspectives.

This is just the beginning. Civic engagement can’t only happen during election season. Community involvement matters between cycles, too.
