We’re seeking a professional with expertise in drug addiction, particularly opioid use, who can help us create a risk-conscious but compassionate policy for a unique short-term housing operation.
Who we are:
StayWithJay is a Cleveland-based hospitality provider offering flexible stays for all kinds of guests—including those navigating personal challenges. We believe in harm reduction, empathy, and clarity.
What we need:
We’re building a policy for managing guests who may be using drugs—particularly opioids—in a way that protects our staff, other guests, and the business, while remaining empathetic and realistic.
We are not a detox center, a clinic, or a recovery program. But we’re also not naïve—we host real people with real struggles. We want to build a policy that acknowledges this reality without turning a blind eye or exposing ourselves to unnecessary risk.
👉 Here’s the ask:
- 30–60 minute virtual consultation (we’ll pay $50 for 30 minutes, more if extended)
- Share examples, frameworks, or language for empathetic but clear policies
- Advise us on red lines, reasonable boundaries, and guest communication practices
Ideal advisor:
- Has written or advised on drug use policy in housing, shelters, sober living, hospitals, or public health
- Understands both legal risks and harm reduction models
- Comfortable being direct, pragmatic, and grounded in lived experience or field work
If you’re that person—or know someone who is—please reach out to info@staywithjay.com or DM us on Instagram: @staywithjay1.
Let’s create something that makes sense for the real world.
